Yea πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’― should've used his head more cause his heart ain't going nowhere.

0 quit with Chito.

Pride gets in the way way to often. I respect it but a win would have been better and going to the ground would have increased his chances quite a bit! He'll be back πŸ€™πŸ’―.

IMO contenders have the tendency to focus so much in the champ, they out of there own way, the path that got them the challenge

Yea tru! That's one of the major psychological aspects of a contender vs champ contest. πŸ€™βœŠπŸ½

Eventually the champ looks unbeatable because of this.

Either contenders put the champ on a pedestal or they do what you mentioned and refuse to believe they can lose against 'the champ' so they lose to the champ.

Chael Sonnen made this comment about the striking in that fight:

Suga landed way more punches than Chito but it’s not Chitos fault, because Sean was always out of range so there was no point in throwing a punch.

Point being that the same sort of applies to takedowns when you’re dealing with a master at controlling the range in Sean o malley

Yea Sean's controll of distance was the main reason he won. You're right about that.

The takedowns are harder to get because of this but when Chito made it dirty and landed those good shots or when he managed to get close to the fence - that's when the takedowns where possible πŸ’―.

Combine that with way more leg kicks and you got a winning strategy. Easier said than done πŸ’―.
