Some users are asking "why can't I log into Rizful.com with Nostr"?

We really considered this while building the service... the problem is that there have been many high-profile hacks recent of similar services, which were found to be mixing up user's Nostr keys with access to their funds.

Here is our FAQ on this issue:

Can I log in with my Nostr account?

We have carefully designed Rizful for maximum security. At the same time, we have found that too many Nostr users have poor security practices with their private keys. (For example, entering private keys into many websites and apps.) Since real money is involved, we don't allow users to login via Nostr, and we don't ever ask for your private Nostr key. A combination of email/password, plus optional two-factor authentication, is the battle-tested and secure way to protect your Rizful account. This also means that, if, in the future, you make a mistake with your Nostr keys, your Rizful account won't be vulnerable.

Hi, i just signed up!

I added my rizful nwc wallet to alby's extension. Thank you for the clear instructions!!

I have a question. I use the extension to log into nostr. Doing that, it shows my alby lightning address on my nostr profiles in the nostr clients for zapping.

Do you guys know if i have to manually change my zapping address in each of the clients' profiles? Or if i was zapped as is, would it land into my rizful wallet?

The magic of Nostr is that you change your metadata in ANY app, and it will show up across the entire network! If you are using Alby Extension, that's fine... you now just want to add the rizful lightning address to your profile ... you can do that here.. https://metadata.nostr.com/ ... or follow these directions for any of the major nostr apps.. https://docs.megalithic.me/category/using-rizfulcom -- primal, damus, etc...

I was able to change it using iris.to and it populated everywhere else as you mentioned.
