I’ve written a mine badges feature on the backend before, but it wasn’t a standalone tool.

I remember someone in the Nostr community provided something similar, but sorry I can’t recall the name. 😂

I honestly think the badge mining is bullshit....

I should just be able to create and award badges of various degrees to community members, friends, and family.

Why put up a gate?

Bad enough we still can't manage our badges in most clients after 3 years.

nobody is forcing you to use it, there is no "gate" here my fren.

Point me to where I can just make badges for nostr without having to waste time.

I'm not aware of other places or services to make nostr badges other than badges.page

In theory a GPU miner could be adapted to grind event IDs. I bet I could make one. If it's worth something, someone will.

nobody uses pow on nostr, some badges have it but that's it. there was a pow only relay at some point but not sure if it's still around.

yeah i think there is some clients that still do it by default as i see the odd event with lots of zeros, with recent timestamps
