“Legal ethics” are not virtuous ethics or moral ethics in the sense you are suggesting. Legal ethics are a set of rules designed to ensure the fairest possible outcome. However, as many other man made inventions “legal ethics “ are quite flawed. I put my ex through law school and it changed the way her mind worked. When she failed the bar the first time I wrote and drilled her on about 2500 flash cards. I feel like I could have passed the bar exam is I were allowed to take it.

I have met and spent time with more lawyers than the average person outside of the legal profession. I can tell you from personal experience that I have never met a practicing lawyer that is happy and satisfied with life. I’ve met a few retired lawyers that recovered from the brainwashing.

By the way, did you know state bars associations are not government run entities? They are trade organizations meant to promote the business of the practice of law. It’s quite a immoral and flawed system.

Thanks for all this info i wasn’t aware of the trade organisation’s part.

Law in itself is a very complex thing. The lawyers Ive known are also not very happy.

Yet if you’re gaslighting while you’re being a lawyer you’re committing a crime while you’re supposed to be a lawyer. Because gaslighting isn’t only unethical its psychological manipulation. So if that the wave you’re riding…

Thats my opinion on it, even though there might be alot of truth in it.
