I see some very impressive videos of Russian shovel fighting. A ground invasion of Russia is as hopeless as (I hope) a ground invasion of America.

I suspect the Native Americans would have easily held off the Europeans if Smallpox hadn't killed 90% of them. They could literally smell Europeans a mile away, and a bow and arrow is silent with no flash.
