My mother-in-law is in her 60’s. She laughs because every time we start chatting about money problems or politics she knows I always throw in “bitcoin fixes that” my wife also laughs because I throw in bitcoin any chance I get to mention it. Now I am surrounded by people that think I’m crazy. No one in my family or hers believes in bitcoin at all. So I was curious, how are the the feeling ls people you associate with outside of here about bitcoin? Do most own/believe in the future of bitcoin? Or do they just look at you like your crazy every time you bring it up? 😅

Hahahaha yea I normally don’t even bother because the only information they have about bitcoin is from sources like forbes, news, etc.
They think I’m crazy when it comes to Bitcoin. I say moving to a digital currency isn’t a major deal. We moved to the Euro 20 odd years ago. They agree on that at least. It’s funny, if I point out propaganda in the news they can see it. If I point out systemic problems they agree. If I show them how “bitcoin fixes this” they freeze up and reply it’ll never work. Most people see the systemic issues and where it is leading if you dig deep enough but they seem to avoid the answer rather than not see the problem.
Exactly. I can set there and explain why bitcoin fixes these issues, but they just nod and don’t dig any deeper themselves. At least we try 😅
Genuinely think once there is a need they’ll flip their thinking. I recently had a bank block a Bitcoin purchase. Fraud squad got involved. Spent an hour on the phone with them. Clearly said if this happens again, I’ll leave. Now I’m on a Dex and purchase mainly there. I had looked at a Dex before but the need wasn’t there. It’s clearly coming.
The men and women around me that fish, enjoy life, kind of more “thinkers” want to buy it. Theres a bit of a knowledge gap. But ppl really stuck in im addicted to facebook, drinking and 9-5 all at the same time. Dont have “time” for anything but constantly complain about lifes stress load and how much food goes up or inflation etc etc BUT DONT EVEN WANT TO LEARN OR SAY I DONT HAVE TIME FOR ALL THAT. Im just like your gonna be worked to death and your poor diet is causing alot of it. Why complain when you can put some energy into learning about bitcoin. Slaves are slaves i noticed just like to complain about being slave and do nothing to change that fact not even save up monthly.
For me I take a slow and steady approach. I don't bring it up at every opportunity but I put it out there and wait for non--stressful times to bring it up. At work I put it out there but only bring it up if people seek it out.

Yea I don’t push to the point where it gets annoying. The laugh cause I throw it in once in a while. Especially after a few drinks and we start joking around. But yea, one day it will just be a told you so kinda thing 🫡⚡️
