That has nothing to do with taxes in any way whatsoever. The consumer always pays the tax, no matter the product. Who pays gas taxes? Consumer. Who pays sales taxes? Consumer. Who pays all the taxes on a phone bill? Consumer. No business is going to absorb additional costs. Regulatory costs? Passed to consumer. Corporate taxes? Passed to consumer.
