Cool story about meeting Ben for the first time and the circular economy.
I was a Bitcoin psycho but something about being able to see in person as a medium of exchange felt important to verify in person. And specifically in person for alcohol to size up if Ben was real or full of shit. Alcohol seemed like a hard product to sell for Bitcoin.
I was with my cop buddy at the bar who was going through seeing some heinous shit at a crime scene during the defund the police campaign. It was a shit time for lots of people. I asked him if he wanted to go to a party in Austin for a vacation and to party with some Bitcoin people. But also to see if Ben was full of shit or not. I booked some flights and tickets to the event right there.
Ben was not full of shit. The first thing he ever told me in person was that he had no idea what he was doing. That’s all I needed to hear and I bought everyone there a bottle of wine in Bitcoin. That was my “we’re gonna fuckn win you non-believing slobs” moment.
I don’t think many people understand how crazy powerful it is to show someone a Bitcoin circular economy transaction for incredible products. It’s a completely different reaction than explaining Bitcoin. No words just show them a zapsnag and say it’s on the way. Show them you’re messaging the founder directly too and they are just dumbfounded.
The circular economy here is more effective for getting the next wave of adopters on NOSTR than anything else IMO.
You also had a hard on the entire night
Curious how that didn't make the cut
For the last time, it’s a medical condition from the first time I saw Jessica Rabbit. This is not cool dude.
