I don't think simply calling it theft accurately describes it. To me, that sounds no worse than a teen stealing a candy bar. And yes, I know it doesnt fit nicely in a hash tag, but it really is extortion, terroristic thrests, and strong armed robbery. And at times leads to kidnapping (ie being arrested, which leads to more of the previously listed violent crimes).
