Librewolf is a hardened fork of firefox, it also removes all the telemetry that firefox has and the DRM, it also includes ublock origin as standard and containers.

Librewolf is the real firefox.

I think librewolf is great too, but to recommend it to friends I think it needs automatic updates.

If you use flatpak you have automatic updates, on windows you can also do it with winget as it is included in the repositories and on macOS with homebrew.

Are there tradeoffs to using librewolf? I've never heard of it. Does it break websites or forces you to do captchas all the time or lack features?
