1. The GIF search is fixed (thanks for pointing that out). It still had some old code from the previous database and needed updating.
2. Your settings are saved to browser memory and every time you logout it erases it. So if you're logging out every time you use the app that's going to happen, including the 99+ because the settings keep track of when your last notification was received. None of that is stored on Nostr relays. I've been thinking about how to make it more persistent without storing any of your info on the NostrGram server (for privacy I'd prefer it remain in your browser *only*).
3. Are you using the multi-column view? If so, how many columns? The more notes you load on the screen the more CPU it takes to update them (though I greatly optimized that in a recent update). Also, if you filter for audio/video that will eat up a lot more CPU.
1. Cool
2. Good to know. Still client hopping so I can deal with that.
3. Single column (twitter style) I don't filter for audio/video. In fact I optioned for smaller size pics. This is most likely my comp and it's not terrible. Iris revs the fan up louder for shorter bursts whereas Nostrgram is a steady fan run.
Thanks for the feedback!
I started using CloudFlare yesterday which compresses the images and files and saves a lot of bandwidth, so if you haven't yet tried using NostrGram since yesterday give it another shot and see if it makes a difference.
It also gives users privacy
