The feds do not control what happens to Alberta resources. They've continuously used the threat of shutting down oil exports on national TV, when they know full well it isn't their decision to make.
Unfortunately, they've blocked every pipeline project that would have allowed Alberta to export to other nations across the seas, so 90% of supply is sold to the US.
Stopping oil exports to the US would destroy our province. We'll keep selling and doing our thing.
Honestly, it feels like a slap in the face, that people now consider it "Canada's oil", after being constantly attacked for our "dirty Alberta tar sands" for years.
