Not just free, everyone will “generate” their own software, bespoke tools for everything and everyone

Sure, I think their meaning is more that the biggest companies, like Salesforce are being obsoleted

What a staff / principal engineer can do today with LLMs, anyone with an IQ of 100 + will be able to do in a couple of years

Software is already free ... and FOSS

I don't use proprietary software. Been running Linux only for 20 years.

I've been on Linux for a decade but it's much harder to run large companies without paid software. It's been a competitive disadvantage. That era is starting to end

Nextcloud is a huge step towards large companies getting off proprietary software.

What does it mean? It means the only investment opportunities in softwarw will be in platforms with network effects.
