Wtf is this???

I’m at my Organic Butcher Store buying my weekly meat and also remembered we need more milk.

Not really looking properly but it was in the fridge right next to another milk brand so I brought it!

FFS only to get home and realise it’s not for human consumption-why the fuck would it be sold in a butcher shop then 😳

I’ve never heard of this, you?

No sense

That brand is raw milk as far as I know. They can’t legally sell it as for human consumption but you can drink it.

Basically a loophole for supplying raw unpasteurised milk by selling it as “bath milk”.

You can't sell raw milk in Australia??

But that's a Chad move then to sell it under that Label 😅

It’s honestly stupid, I’m flushing down the sink!

Or may add it to my bath later 😜

No seriously, raw milk is nice. If you don't trust it, cook it shortly and let it cool down again.

I regularly buy some from farmers, never had issues.

You can even make your own mozzarella with it. Its not possible with pasteurized milk. I think it's great they work around these regulations, as they are.. let's say questionable 🤭

heating it will destroy the positive benefits that people get raw milk for...

It’s good for you! But if you don’t want to drink it raw then use in coffee and the heat will pasteurise it anyway..

Princess, dairy farm kid here. I've had raw milk hundreds of times, you'll be fine lol

It’s not Princess it’s Queen thanks 😜

Yeah nah I will pass on this, I might use it in my bath later!

Fresh from the vat is the best you can get if you're too lazy to hand-milk. Un-homogenized and un-pasteurised, they always burn it and kill the finer flavour notes.

(I am too lazy. I also dislike dealing with cattle. And I live in the city.)

I understand but it’s a hard pass for me, anything that has not for human consumption on it I’m not thinking twice about.

There are things that are fit for human consumption.

There are things that a government full of elitism, pig-ignorance, ambulance-chasing and corruption says are fit for human consumption.

DYOR, as always, but the overlap between categories is pretty small.

I prefer to trust qualified scientists rather than uneducated, opinionated nobody's on the Internet.

Although, all those years I spent at university probably makes me a little biased towards educated people.

Strangely, it had the opposite effect on me. I find defensive mediocrity tiresome, but I understand others call it home.

You do you, bro.

For everyone else, you can DYOR on sci-hub.se or annas-archive.org reading actual papers, and learn a lot more for a lot less.

I bet your research includes a lot of QAnon information in Telegram groups.

Marie wake up, Wake Up Marie your dreaming! : fda unapproved message

i just grew up in a different way where we made most our food. processes changed so much over the years, just like so much else, & not for the better imho

I’m not sure if I would be game enough to drink this now!

Yep…. Happy to help here

In Adelaide the Chinese and similar cultures buy 1000s of litres of water every week to bath in… they also buy up milk to bath in and clean etc

They’ve been doing this for quite a time very quietly… had my water dealer tell me that his Chinese market in the city buy $2000-$5000 of water a week to fill baths and milk similar

So markets are starting to form selling these products for this sort of underground market of such

If u don’t believe me, order something from Cole’s online and ask the delivery driver this

Guarantee they’ve done this multiple times themselves

Never seen anything like this before

raw milk baby! no oreos

🤮

It’s good milk.

To add to your bath?

Never bathed in it. Haven’t drank it in years but you sparked an interest in getting it again.

Gonna see if any local businesses supply it.

Might be a stretch, I do live in the sticks.

Raw milk. With the good stuff still in tact 👍

Looks good enough to add to my bath then.

In most states, it's illegal to sell non pasteurized products. So they commercialized usually for dogs or in this case for cosmetics, but is the highest quality.

Fantastic, will add it to my skincare routine- should make me look younger.

With raw milk you can taste the mastitis.

🤢

I never have. You need to change suppliers, bro. Untreated mastitis is a good way to lose stock, as well as customers.

Maybe you just have low standards?

Um, what are you talking about? I don't drink bovine excretions. Ever. Bloody disgusting shit.

😂 cleopatras - I would totally do the same. But also why the heck in a butcher shop. Set up. Take it back 😂

Absolutely

So it’s Ass Milk?

Who knows!

certified organic milk, probably has no preservatives, no pasteurization, no hormones. This is what the western world (westoids) have made illegal.

Its probably labeled not for ingestion to skirt these laws and provide actual REAL milk to those who want it instead of hormone pesticide water that causes acne and thyroid problems among many other ailments.

Milk isnt bad for you as they claim.

What they peddle as milk is bad for you.

Yeah but I still won’t drink this.

Don’t know, but it’s probably still better than almond milk

😂😂

"not for human consumption"

Its illegal to sell unpasteurized milk in Australia. So it is marketed as bath milk.

Regulation evasion.

It is (unpasteurized) milk from a Jersey cow. I would strain it and give it a sniff test first.

May well be the only way they can sell (raw?) milk.

nostr:npub15879mltlln6k8jy32k6xvagmtqx3zhsndchcey8gjyectwldk88sq5kv0n talks about doing that years back in WV, sold it as a soil amendment, because you couldn't sell it for human consumption...
