When did you start to care about your online privacy?

Always. In the 90's no one used their real name, it was all Nyms.
But when Gmail was launched was when I really paid attention. Everyone I knew just switched because they gave 1gb free space, no one but me it seems read what you were giving up in return. Reading their initial release notes had me say Fuck No Thanks...
When I would tell people "you know they are scanning and readong YOUR emails to sell your info to advertisers" the most common response was ya? So... 1 GB space! I got nothing to hide 🤦♂️
