They hunt like crazy and are extremely effective killers. They target baby monkey’s because they love the tender meat… and they kill a lot of them, because, according to the biologist: “they love meat.”
Meat is an energetic prize and nature is brutal.

Meat is like 0.5% of their diet and it's mostly reptiles and birds.
It's also mostly just this one subspecies of chimps that hunt monkeys, due to environmental pressures.
Specifically the western chimpanzees, they are the ones that rely on hunting monkeys and eating meat.
