Would creating a npub/nsec be shown as a transaction on chain that can be signed by original btc address it was derived from?

Yeah the only overlap is nostr uses the same curve as btc, so you CAN use the same key material, but in most cases probably shouldn't. At least I have not seen a compelling reason to.
Im looking for a way to use old btc keys to gen nostr keys so I could verify by signing with btc wallet.
