Reddit CEO claims that it was only a small minority of mods leading the protests this week. He threatens to oust mods who lead the protest.

Then he talks about how mods should really be elected by subreddit members. This is something I actually agree with, the system of moderators being self appointed by who ever created the subreddit doesn’t feel right.

If mods are removed by vote, then the community is fine. If reddit goes in and removes the troublemaker mods then all hell is going to break loose.

will there be a lot of subreddit splits?

Indeed … I hope a solution can be agreed upon … I use a highly customized RES which I’ve tweaked for years & find it very useful … it was an integral part of my Bitcoin journey …

Do ppl still use Reddit?

This is wild

I would have nothing to do with a platform where I can’t moderate a community I created. What’s the point then?

To not be a tiny dictator? All this talk of censorship makes my head spin.

Don’t understand your question

Ty

Your welcome! Thanks for all you do for this community, keep rockin’ it!

Come on do u really care, u r at nostr do u actually use Reddit 🤣🤣🤣

I don’t. Haven’t used Reddit in a long time.

Just discussing the topic.

I made this as a gift for you and some others here! 🙌

All this to go public, sell advertising and make stock holders happy. Reddit is done and it’s sad 😔

Decentralization is the only way
