Any general purpose AI will quickly surpass us. For it the true boundary will be on the edge of solar system... we will be no competition for the energy of Sun (that's the only thing AI will be interested in controlling).

Within solar system, AI will be interested in stability. Enforcing boundaries between intelligent entities to prevent big conflicts. I'm sure it'll do much better job than we're currently doing.

This might be very human of me, but wouldn’t it be easier to remove all possible sources of instability and conflicts? I am pro AI but following your reasoning

Earth only receives 0.00000005% energy of Sun.

So I'm quite certain that we'll be seen as net positive to preserve. Getting to live in Utopia managed by AI, watching it go on and spread across the stars.
