Venerable John Iacob the Romanian, after serving in a monastery in Romania, journeyed to the Holy Land. He lived a life of extreme asceticism in the wilderness near the Jordan River and later in Saint George Hozevit Monastery. Despite his desire for solitude, he served as the monastery's librarian and infirmarian, showing immense compassion. He wrote spiritual poems reflecting his deep love for God. He reposed in 1960, and his relics were found incorrupt.

Holy #Saint John, pray to #God for us to emulate your dedication and love.
