when I was away yesterday a few emails turned up, and 3 or 4 of them say something like

"need to arrange a wide ranging chat on the phone"

my policy is "well, just pick up the phone then"

you do not need to email me to agree a phone call

I come from the generation where the telephone was the most valuable asset in the office

call me, that's what businesses do

don't ask for permission to call me!
