Basically a way for someone to create a bridge between issuer & user. Depending on what the bridge is, it can be useful or useless. People who shit on badges simply aren't seeing the big picture just yet. Eventually useful badge utilities will reveal themselves.

They’re as meaningful or meaningless as the person who makes them created them to be 😂 A badge could be likened to a sticker, a trophy, a passport stamp, or an access ticket, depending on how they’re used by the person who created them. Right now they’re mostly just created and shared in good fun. Some have talked about using them as event tickets, or memorabilia after an event, etc.

A badge is a NFT without a token on a blockchain. Instead it is associated with your NPUB instead of a crypto wallet.
