That’s a very cool thing to do.

I used to work in a senior center and I heard some really interesting life stories from some of the residents. There was a nation champion collegiate wrestler there, several WWII vets, A Korean War vet, someone had visited Mt. St. Helen’s the day before it erupted, one resident recalled being brought to a public hanging as a child. It was a window into bygone eras.

Wow, that's amazing. That's exactly why something like this is so important. On a more individual level we need to do this with our parents and grandparents.

100%. I’m still lucky enough to spend a lot of time with my maternal Grandma and I get a lot of cool stories from her. I make sure to ask a lot of questions. Amazing how much some people can accomplish in 85 years on earth. Always inspirational.

I think a website where life-stories could be self-published and exist in perpetuity would be really cool - call it “gone but not forgotten.”

I think it would make a lot of people feel better having a record of their life story with some pictures. Everyone wants to leave something behind. And I think it would be a very interesting place to read about others struggles and triumphs. The senior center actually spurred this idea!

I’ve had this idea for a long time but not sure how to pull it off. Maybe crowdsourced / donation based. Bitcoin keeps appreciating so I think sats could go a long way in keeping something like this alive for a long time.
