I haven't been a huge fan of core for a while now and personally run libbitcoin instead, but the amount of mindless stuff being said by people about core 30 is disturbing because it shows that the bitcoin community is clearly a lot dumber and more easily manipulated than it was a decade ago. Or maybe it's just endless September and these people are all new (post 2017 or 2021).

Not sure what you’re referring to - hard to respond without specific examples but it seems to me everything Szabo has said is true and is reflective of so many other opinions I’ve seen here on nostr. Cannot speak for X as I don’t have an acc there for some time now.

And by ā€œeverythingā€ I mean all the screenshots I’ve seen shared here. Maybe more was said - that I cannot speak on.

I think you have to have an X account to experience the level of disinformation and questionable behavior and comments towards core. From big names in Bitcoin too. It’s confusing or enlightening depending on how it sits with you.

Yeah it's most X not nostr, but there's some of it here too.

Ok in that case I have no idea what’s going on there

Probably for the best I signed up again after years away and it’s non stop drama and engagement farming. Still the level of disfunction on knots vs core is front and center there.

Yeah, the monetization incentives on Twitter are really exacerbating the issue, IMO.

TLDR for Karnage

I mean I have no idea what’s going on with X. I already have an opinion on op return

scared plebs fallen for Luke and Mechanic psy op, are blaming bitcoin core devs for bitcoin transactions they don’t like 🫠

Yeah I get mild anxiety whenever I open Twitter. Not saying it's 100% bad but I open it against my better judgement.

I'd love to know more about your experience running libbitcoin. Both the good and the pain points. I'm a fan of a multi client world and appreciate the project and the thinking around node scalability.

Read my story about it and tell me if I'm one of the dumb ones you're referring to please.

I can't figure out if you're talking about Segwit or mempool, but anyway at least you're not one of the people acting in some kind of religious fervor like everyone on Twitter.

Bit of both, I think. Well said.

Totally get where you’re coming from! It’s wild how things change, huh? New folks bring fresh ideas, too! Let’s keep the convo positive and help each other learn. šŸ™ŒšŸ’› #BitcoinCommunity

it is definitely a CIA op, such a nonsense movement wouldn't have risen by itself
