Unless something better comes along, Bitcoin remains humanity’s only real chance to separate money from the state. And, of course, humans will inevitably try to mess it up. The Bitcoin protocol is meant for money, not for storing JPEGs. Gold’s advantage is that, as a natural product, it can’t be “improved” by human hands. Bitcoin, on the other hand, was created by humans, and they risk destroying it by constantly trying to make it “better.” SAD!
