this looks fucking cool. i am so on the fence about this. how do you store private keys? like how do you store metal backups of qr codes I guess is my question... and then it feels like you are 100% reliant on the integrity of that qr code, whereas a coldcard or whatever, you have the coldcard and then the redundancy of a steel backup....

You can make a qr copy or use multisig.

With SeedSigner, keys are stored in analog fashion because the device itself is engineered not to remember them. Seed words encoded as a QR code make it quicker to activate a key on SeedSigner, but you can also manually enter the words and get the same result. We have a backup solution that combines both a metal backup plate and a QR code (see below). If you'd like to learn more, this may be a good place to start:
