In the days when the Roman Empire persecuted Christians, Evangelicus, a dedicated servant of God in Tomis (modern Constanța, Romania), fearlessly preached the Gospel. Arrested for his unwavering faith, he was brought before the authorities and commanded to renounce Christ. Evangelicus refused, declaring his allegiance to the true God. Despite brutal torture, his faith remained unshaken. In the end, he was beheaded for his devotion.
