Why are you switching to core lightning?

I don’t necessarily have to because I can easily spin up LND on my new node.

There are some tools for auto balancing channel liquidity that work with Core. I can’t find anything like that for LND that I know of.

My main concern: I have to get my LN node off of my RasPi4 before it dies. It’s been running for 5 years nonstop and I don’t want to tempt fate.

You run a public routing node? How often do you find your self balancing the channels? Does lightning terminal make it easier?

I just started a core lightning node a few days ago and been having trouble with it. Then I started a LND node and it's working for me.
