Scrub with a wire bristol pad to remove to rust and reseason it.

Iron gonna iron. I never worry about that. The pan I'm using the most is at least 80 years old and a bit o' surface rust ain't nuffin' to worry about... IF you are using it constantly. If not, then you will want to clean off the crusty rust and re-season.

Just oil it up and keep it seasoned. No cause for alarm.
