Governments trying to ban hashtag#Bitcoin mixers makes mixing the coins even more interesting, no?
This is how the scary and evil hashtag#BTC mixers work:
"It's like having ten friends around a table. They all put a penny in a glass jar, and then they shake it up, and everyone takes their penny out again.
Now, you'll end up with the same amount of money you did before you mixed it. You'll still have a penny, but no one really knows. Was it your original penny, or did you end up with someone else's penny?
And all it really does is it just makes it harder to follow where all the Bitcoin is going, because it's just been shaken up and mixed. It's really useful to mention that after talking about hashtag#KYC, because some people might hear us talking and go, oh, my God, all my Bitcoin is KYC'd. It's too late, I've made a mistake. The good thing about coin mixing is you can give yourself more forward privacy.
So, okay, they know you bought it, they know where you moved it to, but then you mix it all up, and they don't know where it went next. It doesn't remove the fact that people know that you bought it, or there's some information out there about you, but it does mean that attackers and governments and these sorts of people are going find it hard to prove what you still have, what you did with it, where did it go, and it kind of makes you private again." - Rick from The Bitcoin Way
Beautiful, isn't it?
