the relay owner could still delete what ever they want, might serve an archival purpose but doesn't really add censorship resistance

That is odd since popular relays support it. Not sure believe the Tech Breakdown section. I guess could technically say even if event is deleted could be recovered from HD unless securely deleted. But that is a whole other 🐰🕳️
