Today I became a full independent registrant member without restrictions with my provincial psychotherapy regulatory college.

I am relieved, but not without conflict.

Real-world regulatory colleges do not accomplish their intended mandates or come close to their ideals. In my observation, they are often just another example of a way-too-big over-extending government into all aspects of life. Freedom is sacrificed on the altar of safety.
