It’s the most important thing we have.

But most people don’t realize that yet.

🔥

I don’t know who trust now. Twitter was bought to give power and freedom to people it ended up with $8 blue check and now rate limits. I’m afraid of what’s next with Nostr too!

Don’t think that will happen on nostr because the switching cost to another client or app is so low…

I mean I’m loving this space but I’m too scared! Please nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m don’t change please please🙏🏽

Not up to me. And that’s the point.

did you ever foresee the scaling problems that twitter is facing today?

Definitely! Especially since this isn’t predominantly run by volunteers who aren’t paid for it except through grants. Stable revenue models will eventually come.

You don’t need permission for nostr.

It’s even more open and unrestricted than the world wide web.

Because of no standards bodies?

The web lacked kind structures which were inevitably going to lead to centralization and it’s what semantic web tried to fix very naively.

And the web didn’t have signatures in the data which is another brutally centralizing force

Good points

Because clients are technically so much simpler to build than browsers.

Because relays are technically so much simpler to build than webservers.

nostr is more fundamental.

Things could have been different if governments didn’t shut down social networks during civil unrest.

Do you believe #nostr will become another target by governments and how do we prevent that?

Def. The architecture will help prevent it. And will have to evolve over time.

Any volatile event this summer or the 2024 US presidential election could bring more users to #nostr

How can we be ready?
