As a Guatemalan, I don't know how I feel about this rebranding of Atitlán into Bitcoin Lake. The lake has been there for millennia and its full of reasons to go other than Bitcoin. Its history is magical, ancestral and it feels like you're ignoring that by changing its name.

I feel ya! The bitcoin part at the lake is very small and there is sooo much more out there.

It is just the gimmick after Bitcoin Jungle/Island/Beach/Praia in other countries.

How would you brand a circular economy?

Lake Satitlan? 😉

It was there before fiat, as was the circular economy before Bitcoin. It just seems like tourists are taking away something by reducing it to one facet and taking away its name. I get where it comes from, but i disagree with it.
