Aight #docchain I trusted my right knee pretty badly, heard a pop, but was able to kinda put weight on it to walk off the field. How will I know if I tore something? I think it would be an LCL if it was anything... Should I go to the doctor immediately or give it a couple days?

Twisted*
Don't fuck around with it. If you think there is somthing wrong there probably is.
Its better to know.

Highly unlikely you had a rupture of your LCL with such low energy. Most likely thing is either a degenerative meniscus tear or patellofemoral crepitus (depending on age). Most important thing is to maintain a healthy range of motion and good strength. Quad sets and towel pulls are great followed my body squats and 1 leg squats. If it’s still nothing you after doing strengthening and range of motion exercise for 4 weeks, then seek treatment. 800mg ibuprofen every 8 hours for a week straight (if you can take/tolerate it) is helpful too.
Bothering* you
Quad sets similar to this video only right before you relax you pick your heel up off the table, then relax.
sorry for being late on nostr ;-)
no medical advice ;-p
if you are still taking ibuprofen or similar stuff, you should consider taking a "protection for the stomach". something like pantoprazol.
btw. i heard that ibuprofen is not so good for joint pain. i prefer diclophenac. check whether you are prone to allergies. of course, you can not mix those groups of medication. also dicophenac should be used with pantoprazol if taken for multiple days.
regarding diagnosis. an ortho-doc can do some clinical tests. usually the sensitivity and specificity is quite fine. however, MRI is the gold standard. (Ultrasound could also be used for diagnosis, but it depends strongly on the doc's skill)
hope you are fine by now.
