I also use YNAB, and a CC card for everything. But, I find it abundantly easy to just about twice a week manually sync up my ynab with my bank and have never had issues with balance reconciliation

And by manually sync, I mean entering in the entries manually into YNAB. Takes ab 10 mins each time
Yeah, in short, the automation is what doesn't work, and we are all supposed to pretend it does.
The forums will absolutely chastise you and assume that you didn't read the manual or go to their mind-numbing online seminar that covered the topic. Software is supposed to reduce time and effort, but I feel like I should be getting paid for all the effort to make this web app work.
It is the linking of accounts and the automatic import that gets me every time. SO EASY. NO MANUAL ENTRY. So I always end up tearing my hair out over the balances getting all cattywampus over an unmatched reconciled tip transaction on a CC, or accidentally mismatching transactions with the same balance.
