Unlawful arrest then basically, as its overreach to jump to something as drastic as arresting someone! Removing their liberty!

Like you say, depends on the police 'sympathisers'. ugh! Supposed to be apolitical.

It was also disgusting what the police did here on the coronation of charlie. They arrested and forced anti-monarchy demonstrators out of the path of the procession and any media. Nice start charlie.

Regarding the young preacher, the plot thickens!

Regardless of whether he was breaking the law by not having an amplification device permit, it may be that the drag performances in front of children also violated state law and a local ordinance.

[U]nder Wisconsin law, police have the authority to arrest any adult who causes a child to “view or listen to sexually explicit conduct.”

A Watertown ordinance also prohibits “sexually oriented conduct” with children, but it’s unclear whether the pride event violated that or any other local ordinance.

It doesn’t sound like these laws are often enforced, and I also don’t know for sure if the drag performances were lewd enough to meet the standards of the state law or local ordinance.
