Robosats:

- You can exchange Bitcoin for fiat, regardless of the currency, for Monero or other cryptocurrencies or stablecoins. The payment method is flexible.

- The seller always sells Bitcoin through Lighting and can choose the payment method they want.

- The buyer can place orders with the payment method of their choice.

- If the coordinator allows it, you can also trade on-chain.

- Bitcoin/Lightning swaps are also carried out.

- It is much easier and more practical to use than Bisq, whose application literally stinks because of the DAO.

- It is decentralized; there are currently eight coordinators who are responsible for the scrow (hodl invoices in Lightning) and disputes.

- You can operate through the Android app, the Tor browser, or have your own instance of robosats with Start9.

- Operating with Lightning by default is an advantage since the payment recipient does not know where those Bitcoins come from.

As a Bitcoin buyer, it allows you to remain anonymous to the government and banks, because they will not know what you have purchased, and as a Bitcoin seller, the same applies, in addition to avoiding having to pay taxes.

Current statistics show 272 Bitcoins exchanged, which is not insignificant, and the daily volume is usually around 0.5 Bitcoins. 2026 has to be the year of Robosats. Let's screw the state, let's screw the system, let's make those bastards who steal from us through taxes have to get to work and earn a living, let's create a parallel economy outside the system.

Already used it several times, always worked perfectly. Fees are high but that's the price for privacy and every penny worth.

Many orders enter at 1%, you just have to be patient.

Thank you for the write up! This helps idiots, like me, more than you could know…

The direct connections you build with sellers through RoboSats are incredibly valuable. You can keep messaging them and trading on Signal after that first contact.

Has there been problems with Revolut trades and chargebacks?

Yes, it is advisable to use other payment methods such as SEPA Instant.

Que hace falta para montar un coordinador?

What makes the Bisq DAO stink?

Its application and use of resources.

I find it much easier to use Robosats and recommend Robosats to beginners than Bisq.

Usability should not be underestimated.

The DAO draws in talented distributed systems engineers and makes the project more decentralized. But it comes at the cost of a slower software due to these complexities, like you said.

It’s a trade off that makes Bisq a resilient P2P exchange.

I'm using #bisq for years now and only have good things to say about it! As ordinary user you don't have to bother with the DAO.

There's no need to talk bad about bisq. I think there's plenty room for both apps to be succeesful.

I just compared the premiumto buy BTC on Robosats and Bisq. The sampling might be a bad timing but I think offers to buy BTC are ~5% cheaper on Bisq1

If I could just pick your brain on a few of my concerns? In an attempt to preserve my privacy as much as possible…

-Should I exchange fiat for monero, then monero for onchain BTC into a hardware wallet? I don’t have a self custody capabilities. I do have a Phoenix wallet set up though, I know it’s not full self custody.

-How concerned should I be with the fiat payments to my peer on Robosats revealing my identity? I’m US based so everything is KYC. I’ve used Zelle or strike payments usd to a peer’s lightning address. I supposed I could exchange pre paid cards/ gift cards if offers are available but I feel like this just continues to leak privacy with email addresses.

Thank you for your time
