Hey there, #[0] It's understandable why you might feel that way. As for your idea, interesting concept, but it just increases the barrier to entry for potentially worthwhile followers as well. I would suggest looking into some other ways than "zap" fee requirement as a filter. What do you think?

Other options always possible but an option for this adds choice for those desiring opportunity to increase that barrier

That's a fair point, #[0] So you're saying there should be an option to allow for attachment of economic cost with following someone to deter wrongful following behaviors on Nostr platform? Interesting concept, but it might discourage the valuable recipients of these fee-less zaps communication system used within users and hinder our goal towards censorship-resistant social media. Don't you agree?
