Most miners certainly do, for sure. It's just that 240V split phase is not the same as 240V single wire used in the rest of the world. I guess that's why the PDU is a thing. Geez, that's... Annoyingly sketchy.

You're already beyond my expertise hahaha I didn't know theres a diff between 240v single wire and split phase. I don't actually even know what that means.

I just figured you just install a beefier breaker in the main breaker box and run a lower gauge wire which can handle 240v.

Yep. 220 in the US is two legs of 110 with a common. The breaker will even have two switches tied together.

Ahh ok that makes sense. I had someone come install a 220 for me in my garage and it was 2 breakers tied together.
