Everything comes down to time and energy. You have to choose carefully what you spend them on: meaningless distractions from life, or building a future with more freedom. Many Earthlings are still children on the inside, even though they should have grown up long ago. They don’t want responsibility, and they long for a guardian who will decide for them.
