Yesterday, 30mins before office close, the professional facilitator my fiat mine had hired for a 2 day all-staff planning and review event that starts today cancelled.

In a panic the staff handling logistics for the event phoned me (the IT manager) and asked if I would fill in. With almost no notice. And no material. And no experience with this sort of event.

I gave them my standard disclaimer. “I’ll do it, but I can’t guarantee you’ll like the results.” They accepted. I should have asked to be paid in bitcoin 🤦‍♂️
