10 years ago today, I realized a dream of owning a 'cabin', a 'mountain home '.

I made an offer for an owner financing situation, under the advice from my dad. Realtor immediately called and said "they won't take this offer". I said your only job is to submit the offer.

Called my best friend up, we drove to the 'cabin' to spark a doobie on the patio. Just as we finished up, heard a vehicle pulling in. Walked around to front door to be greeted by the seller.

I introduced myself as having just put in an offer, and he replied by saying he'd just accepted the offer..... I found out before the agent told me, high AF, lol. My buddy and I even locked in the job to move him out with a U-Haul to his current home. Essentially got paid to remove the sellers items.

I converted from owner-financing to a conventional loan 4 years later.

Couldn't be happier.

Definitely gonna celebrate with a doobie on the deck today.
