Steps to writing code:
1. Make it work.
2. Make it efficient.
3. Make it elegant.
This is a common saying (or some variation of it) in computer science circles.
But you know what step they forgot? "Make it secure."
My boss used to say “first you do it, then you do it well, then you do it fast”.
