Collecting Fennel seedlings from heavily poisoned roadsides.

I have the opportunity to dig up lots of wild Fennel seedlings along the roadside near my property. The area is sprayed with herbicide often by the council, but has not been as yet this winter. The seedlings and surrounding weeds, Bindi, all seem healthy and green.

Are there any risks to taking these, either as food later or as poor quality plants due to the constant spraying?

agree with Jacob, why risk it? I might consider collecting seeds from something rare or hard to get, but, fennel? for common things i try to support one of the small heirloom seed companies that jack has in the msb.

just my 2 zaps worth.
