The first vehicle I ever drove was a Messerschmitt Kabinenroller KR200 in 1969

Engine could be started in forward or reverse. Had an inverted aircraft style yoke for steering. Would do about 90km/h flat out.

Used to be able to buy gasoline at the pump with oil premixed. 2 strokes were everywhere.

Loved that little scooter.

Ours was fire engine red. Had that plexiglass top as well. Spare tire under the rear motor cover. Lived in Wiesbaden. Was young at the time, third grade. Good times.
