Note to startup founders (because I keep seeing this issue pop up):

If you raise money using a SAFE or any other instrument you have to be aware of the requirements for filing a Form D with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and/or the filing requirements of the state blue sky laws in which the investor(s) reside.
