question:

I set up my #COLDCARD Mk4 w/ #nunchuk via #NFC - is that considered #airgapped?

or must the provisioning be signed on SD card via #PSBT to be considered truly air-gapped?

PSBT via SDcard, NFC, and camera read QR code are all valid forms of air gap.

SD Card is the only one that allows air gapping discretely over large distances.

ā€œover long distanceā€ - yes! this is true, totally did not consider that distinguishing factor…

Is Nunchuck the only wallet app that currently supports signing via NFC?

I consider ordering a #Coldcard, but am insecure about the complicated handling. I think air-gapped could be easier.

NFC is still considered air-gapped; so long as you don’t directly plug your coldcard into a desktop with internet connection, you’re good šŸ‘Œ

look up #[3] videos on the subject, he covers everything you need to know to get going - you can’t go wrong

What do you mean by complicated handling?

the coldcard’s interface/UX can seem daunting at first

but it’s truly the best #bitcoin-only cold-storage hardware wallet on the market, for the level of granular control you have/could want
