When I go to the farmer, I usually buy a box of the undersized eggs because I don't want those chickens to feel bad.

Yeah, and also depends upon how many hours of sunlight they've gotten. All the eggs are jumbo in the summer .
ah, probably burning the fat to stay warm so not available to make yolks
