They got positive and negative mixed up. Alkaline is more negative, not more positive.

So it's true except he fucked up on the polarity, I don't know how. Positive isn't magically always the one that means "good"

Actually, I'm retarded, alkaline and acid solutions are usually electrically neutral overall due to their increased affinity to ions from various electrolytes. In the case of the body, any overall positive or negative charge is managed by the process of homeostasis, and the affinity for these electrolytes keeps things in check. So I was wrong that it's overall becoming more positive or more negative, oops.

So adequate electrolyte intake is essential for the management of acidity and charge, as is the maintenance of a good many other things which your body automatically uses to manage these aspects of your interstitial tissues and facilitate the electrochemical processes for life.

I guess the answer is balance. No alkaline, and no acid.

For intake, yeah, generally, roughly. The body itself will create pockets of acidity and alkalinity where it needs it when you feed it properly.
